Pradeep Ranganathan has gained good popularity in both Tamil and Telugu with films like Love Today. His movies mainly attract youth and carry good expectations.

His latest film LIK (Love Insurance Company), which was delayed for a long time, has finally released today. Now, all eyes are on whether it will become another hit in his career.

LIK Story: The story is set in the 2040s. Vasu (Pradeep Ranganathan) grows up away from phones after his sister dies in an accident. Meanwhile, Surya (SJ Suryah) creates an AI-based app called LIK to control love lives. Vasu joins the company and falls for Dheema (Krithi Shetty), who is addicted to the app. When their love score is low, she breaks up, and Vasu tries to prove real love matters more.

Performances: Pradeep Ranganathan feels repetitive with the same look and performance, making it hard to connect emotionally. Krithi Shetty also disappoints in both acting and screen presence.

SJ Suryah stands out and carries the film with his strong performance. Seeman does well but his role isn’t fully utilized. Malavika’s role is weak, Yogi Babu’s comedy doesn’t work, while Gouri G Kishan is okay in parts.

Technical Aspects: Vignesh Shivan directed this film with Nayanthara as producer, creating good expectations, but the film fails to deliver. It follows a routine template with weak comedy and emotions.

Though the idea is good, the execution is disappointing. Pradeep’s repetitive style adds to the problem. On the positive side, Anirudh’s music and Ravi Varman’s visuals stand out, with the “Dheema Dheema” song being the major highlight.

Analysis: LIK starts with a good concept but ends up following Pradeep Ranganathan’s regular formula. Due to weak screenplay and direction, the film feels dull.

Verdict: Despite a promising idea, LIK doesn’t live up to expectations. Routine storytelling and weak execution make it an average film that struggles to keep the audience engaged.

Bottom Line: Good concept, weak execution.
